The Role
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a varied portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ranging from £200k to £10m+. Working as part of a collaborative commercial team, you will contribute to effective cost management, contract administration, and project performance.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial skills within a fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects while supporting senior team members and project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of cost, value, and cash flow reporting
- Support project forecasting, CVRs, and commercial planning
- Prepare applications for payment and assist through to final account
- Support subcontract procurement, administration, and financial management
- Assist in administering contracts (primarily NEC and IChemE forms)
- Help identify commercial risks and opportunities
- Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients on commercial matters
- Support cost control and efficiency improvements across projects
- Ensure compliance with internal commercial processes
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction or civil engineering
- Working knowledge of NEC/IChemE contracts
- Experience supporting subcontract procurement and commercial processes
- Understanding of cost reporting and forecasting
- Strong communication, organisational, and numerical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
- Working towards RICS or similar professional membership
- CSCS card
- Experience in estimation or direct delivery environments
