The Role
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a varied portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ranging from £200k to £10m+. Working as part of a collaborative commercial team, you will contribute to effective cost management, contract administration, and project performance.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your commercial skills within a fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects while supporting senior team members and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of cost, value, and cash flow reporting
  • Support project forecasting, CVRs, and commercial planning
  • Prepare applications for payment and assist through to final account
  • Support subcontract procurement, administration, and financial management
  • Assist in administering contracts (primarily NEC and IChemE forms)
  • Help identify commercial risks and opportunities
  • Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients on commercial matters
  • Support cost control and efficiency improvements across projects
  • Ensure compliance with internal commercial processes

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction or civil engineering
  • Working knowledge of NEC/IChemE contracts
  • Experience supporting subcontract procurement and commercial processes
  • Understanding of cost reporting and forecasting
  • Strong communication, organisational, and numerical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
  • Working towards RICS or similar professional membership
  • CSCS card
  • Experience in estimation or direct delivery environments
