An exciting opportunity has become available for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a Regional New Build Housing developer based in Durham.
As the Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will work within the Commercial team, to learn and assist with the financial aspects of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist/learn in managing ongoing costs of live projects through to completion.
- Assist producing and sending inquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engage with the supply chain.
- Assist Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes.
- Assist in the monitoring and control income and expenditure on contracts.
- Attend and contribute to financial and progress meetings with the client and subcontractors when required.
What we need from you:
- Studying towards or hold HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Negotiation skills and ability to apply those skills internally and externally.
- Willingness to work on your own initiative and progress your career.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral & written.
Competitive salary (£25,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience)
