Senior Planner - Greater Manchester
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Planner to support the delivery of civil engineering projects ranging from £200k to £10m+. You will be responsible for developing and managing detailed project programmes, driving efficiency, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded project plans
- Support tender, pre-construction, and live project phases
- Identify risks, opportunities, and critical path impacts
- Monitor progress and update programmes and reports
- Advise delivery teams on planning changes and mitigation strategies
- Attend site visits and progress meetings
- Integrate subcontractor programmes
- Produce reports, lookaheads, and programme submissions
- Support 4D planning and impact analysis
Requirements
- Advanced Primavera P6 experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience leading collaborative planning processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Desirable:
- Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) experience
- Site-based project experience
- Relevant degree (Civil Engineering/Construction)
