Our client, a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure specialist is seeking a Planner on a 6-month contract basis. You will support their estimating and delivery teams to ensure robust planning, compliance with company standards, and smooth project delivery across civil, mechanical, and electrical works. This role will contribute to projects delivered as part of the Anglian Water AMP 8 Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance, supporting water and wastewater capital maintenance and enhancement schemes.
Please note: our client does not accept engagement via CIS or Ltd company. The role is Inside IR35, with payment made through an Umbrella PAYE arrangement.
Hours: 40 hours per week, onsite engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Planning Support

Develop and maintain detailed project plans for pre-construction and live projects.

Assist in defining construction methodologies, logic sequences, and work outputs.

Uphold Health & Safety standards in all planning activities.
Tender & Project Delivery

Support tender programme reviews and compliance checks.

Create project plan animations for digital rehearsals.

Monitor critical paths, key milestones, and advise delivery teams on potential impacts.
Reporting & Claims

Prepare project reports and updates in line with reporting cycles.

Ensure claimable delays are captured and quantified.

Support programme updates to demonstrate impacts of change on delivery dates.
Essential Requirements

CSCS Card.

Practical understanding of construction sequencing gained on UK contractor sites.

Knowledge of NEC or other relevant contracts.

Experience in collaborative planning processes.

Proficiency in Primavera P6/Cloud and MS Project.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
