We are recruiting for an experienced Engineer in the Doncaster area on a long term freelance basis. You will be managing the pre-design and pre-construction works such as topographical surveys, utility traces and site investigation works.
Job responsibilities:
- Liaise with utilities, local authorities and NHBC to make sure build programs and site budgets are achieved.
- Commissioning of pre-design surveys such as topographical surveys, utility traces and site investigation works.
- Checking of designs to ensure they are feasible to construct, cost effective, meet regulatory approvals and where relevant, satisfy aesthetic requirements.
- Issuing drawings and information to the relevant internal departments and external parties to suit pre-tender/pre-start meetings and build program
- Negotiating, procuring and coordinating utility contracts
Experience required:
- Meng, BEng or HNC in Civil Engineering
- Industry experience of working on residential housing estate developments
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage own projects and multitask
- Ability to undertake feasibility and technical studies
- Full UK driving license
- Ideal but not essential to have experience of designing road and drainage schemes in accordance with S38, S278 and S104 agreements
