We are currently looking for an Assistant Site Manager, on a busy new build housing scheme, to oversee the finishing of plots.
Contract: Temporary
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the finishing phases of the housing project, ensuring that work is completed to a high standard and within the project timeline.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople to maintain quality and safety on-site.
- Monitor the progress of work and report on any issues that may impact the project schedule.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and site activities.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager to resolve any challenges and implement solutions effectively.
- Assist in managing site logistics, including material deliveries and waste management.
- Support the project team in achieving overall project objectives and maintaining client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a site management or finishing role within the construction industry is preferred.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, particularly in finishing works.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
- A valid CSCS card is required; additional certifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid) are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
