£38,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

 

Following continued project growth, our client a well-established and forward-thinking architecture practice based in Durham is looking to appoint an Architectural Technologist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically driven professional who enjoys working in a BIM-led environment and wants greater responsibility, autonomy, and clear career progression within a supportive practice.

This role will suit someone confident in delivering high-quality technical information within a BIM environment, supporting projects from early design through to construction stages.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you will ideally have:

• Strong working knowledge of Revit (essential)
• CIAT-accredited or working towards MCIAT
• Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing
• Experience working within a BIM-led environment
• Ability to coordinate information across multidisciplinary teams
• Strong technical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

The Role

As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in delivering technical excellence across a range of projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing detailed technical drawings and construction information using Revit.
• Developing and managing BIM models in line with project standards.
• Coordinating consultant information and resolving technical design issues.
• Supporting projects through planning, building regulations, and construction stages.
• Assisting with technical quality control across projects.
• Collaborating closely with architects, technologists, and wider project teams.
• Ensuring design information is coordinated and delivered to a high standard.
