As part of our continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Architectural Technician to support the design and delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, working drawings, and specifications
- Produce and manage design information using Vectorworks
- Assist in the preparation of planning applications and Building Regulations packages
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and industry standards
- Respond to technical queries during construction and assist with on-site coordination
Requirements:
- Qualified Architectural Technician (CIAT membership advantageous)
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally on medium to large-scale commercial projects, particularly within hospitality and/or education sectors
- Proven experience working across all RIBA work stages
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction technology, and sustainable design principles
- Excellent CAD skills are essential (experience with Vectorworks is beneficial, though training will be provided)
- BIM modelling and 3D visualisation experience is advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
