The Role
As a Senior Urban Designer, you will:
- Lead and manage complex urban planning and regeneration projects.
- Provide strategic planning advice across a range of development types.
- Prepare and oversee high-quality reports, frameworks, and design-led planning documents.
- Engage with clients, local authorities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team.
- Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the planning function.
About You
- Experience in urban design within the public or private sector.
- A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning & Design, or a related discipline.
- MRTPI or working towards chartership (or equivalent experience at senior level).
- Strong understanding of UK planning policy, legislation, and urban design principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and managing client relationships.
