Technical Manager

Linear Recruitment are looking for a Technical Manager on behalf of a National New Build Housing developer based in Cumbria.

This role will be a member of the Regional Senior Leadership Team, and you will report to the Technical Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the land and development teams to assist during feasibility studies.
  •  Procure road and sewer designs, external works, private drainage, and, FFL’s in line with a brief produced by you.
  • Review and value engineer the infrastructure designs.
  • Manage all consultants to ensure the flow of information is within the agreed timescales and in accordance with the programme.
  •  Coordination of adoption agreements for roads and sewers in a timely manner. Respond to site queries and resolve technical/construction problems.
  • Interact with statutory bodies, local authorities and external consultants with regards to the satisfactory discharge of planning conditions within an agreed time frame.
  • Control the submission of building regulations and warranty applications.
  • Applicants should have worked in a Technical role within volume House Building and come from either architectural or civil engineering background. Our client offers a strong remuneration package and bonus scheme.

What we are looking for:

  • A relevant qualification and/or broad experience in Technical/planning with an Engineering focus.
  • Broad knowledge of the legal frameworks associated with planning management and development procurement.
  • Ability to create and manage programmes, in particular Critical Path.
  • Numerical and Literate.
  • Technically competent in using AutoCAD.
