Freelance Site Manager – Catterick

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a refurbishment project involving the renovation and upgrade of existing living accommodation in Catterick.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the works, ensuring the project is completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the refurbishment works from start to completion
- Supervising subcontractors and site operatives
- Coordinating trades and ensuring works are progressing to programme
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety across site
- Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
- Managing site paperwork, RAMS and daily records
- Liaising with the Project Manager, subcontractors and client representatives
- Ensuring materials, labour and plant are coordinated effectively
- Identifying and resolving any issues that may impact programme or quality

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment, fit-out or general building projects
- Strong understanding of construction health & safety requirements
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
- SMSTS
- CSCS
- First Aid
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the site
