Site Engineer

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a large-scale construction scheme in Blyth, Northumberland.
This is a long-term opportunity for a technically strong Site Engineer to work alongside the project team, supporting the successful delivery of the works and ensuring all engineering activities are completed accurately and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out works accurately in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Providing engineering support to the Site and Project Management teams.
- Checking drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Carrying out level and dimensional checks.
- Maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation.
- Monitoring works to ensure they are completed within required tolerances.
- Liaising with subcontractors and the design team to resolve technical queries.
- Supporting the planning and coordination of site activities.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with health & safety and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within construction or civil engineering.
- Strong setting-out and surveying experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- CSCS.
- Experience with relevant surveying equipment and engineering software.
