An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join a leading privately owned Tier 1 civil engineering contractor with over 40 years of success delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK.
Working across long-term framework agreements and flagship infrastructure schemes, you'll play a key role in delivering projects within the water, transport, energy and built environment sectors. The Role
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support across multiple civil engineering projects. You will establish survey control, set out works in accordance with contract drawings, maintain accurate site records and support the successful delivery of projects safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Establish level and survey control for construction works.

Set out detailed works in accordance with contract drawings.

Carry out regular quality and accuracy checks.

Maintain accurate site records and documentation.

Resolve technical issues as they arise on site.

Produce procurement schedules and coordinate material requirements.

Prepare Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Task Briefings.

Produce two-week look-ahead programmes with the Site Agent.

Complete Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets.

Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.

Identify opportunities for value engineering and continuous improvement.

Deliver projects to the highest quality standards with minimal defects.
About You
You'll have previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects and be confident setting out works independently.
Essential Skills & Experience

Previous setting out experience on civil engineering projects.

Strong understanding of construction methods and health & safety legislation.

Competent using robotic total stations and EDM surveying equipment.

Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Desirable

AutoCAD experience.

Microsoft Office proficiency.

Temporary Works Coordinator experience.

CSCS Card.
-
Cable Avoidance Training.
-
First Aid qualification.
-
NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
