Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent to join a growing civil engineering contractor delivering major highways infrastructure projects across the Kent region. This role is suited to a proactive and organised Site Agent with a strong background in civil engineering who can lead site delivery, manage teams, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day site operations, managing direct staff, subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered to the required standards.

Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and project management documentation to maintain a safe and efficient site.

Monitor project progress and contract costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and tender allowances.

Coordinate design management and engage effectively with subcontractors and suppliers.

Administer contract changes and manage NEC contractual obligations professionally and accurately.

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local communities.

Promote high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across all site activities.

Drive timely and profitable project completion as a hands-on Site Agent with full responsibility for site performance.
Qualifications & Experience

Demonstrable experience as a Site Agent or Senior Engineer working on major civils schemes, particularly within highways, structures, drainage, or flood defence.

Background working with UK main contractors on complex civil engineering projects.

Strong working knowledge of the NEC form of contract and project commercial awareness.

Relevant qualifications in civil engineering (HNC, HND or BEng), along with valid SMSTS and CSCS certifications.

First Aid at Work certification is desirable.

Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
