Project Manager

We are working with a tier 1 main contractor who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a full time basis in the Water sector on the United Utilities framework. As the Project Manager you will deliver multiple projects to the specified quality and to the maximum commercial performance. The role of the Project Manager will also involve working closely with site teams to ensure projects are completed safely, whilst ensuring customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce financial forecast, monitoring and controlling project costs and cost reporting, and produce monthly reports to Contracts Manager on project performance, efficient team building and labour organisation
  • Review progress, budget resources and forward planning
  • Review work packages and ensure scope of work is clearly defined and understood
  • Chair weekly site meetings and ensure the production of accurate records of any discussions and actions
  • Build and maintain good relationships with the customer, framework suppliers, and design consultants
  • Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, risk assessments, method statements, site waste management plans, and procurement of plant and materials are in line with company procedures
  • By example, set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HS&E procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and legal obligations
  • Be responsible for managing and producing ITP’s and ensure they are signed off by relevant parties

What do we need from you?

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager managing and delivering multiple projects of varying complexity and value
  • Knowledge and experience in the Water industry 
  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Full UK Driving License 
  • First Aid (desirable) 
  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

Salary for this role will be dependent upon experience and discussed upon shortlisting.
