Project Engineer

We are working with a top tier main contractor who are looking for a Project Engineer to coordinate and manage design and delivery phases for water and wastewater projects within the Severn Trent Water framework.

The Role:

As the Project Engineer you will support the project delivery team by managing concept development, design, and construction phases, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Early Contractor Involvement (ECI): Attend site/client meetings, coordinate design, and support estimating, risk assessments, and feasibility studies.
  • Detailed Design: Oversee multidisciplinary supply chains, manage design documents, and ensure alignment with client requirements.
  • Construction & Handover: Support the transition from design to delivery, coordinate procurement and commissioning, and manage technical queries and documentation.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to HSEQ standards, drive risk reduction, and incorporate value engineering.

What You Need:

  • Experience in civil engineering projects (Water sector preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, risk management, and design coordination.
  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • CSCS Card & SSSTS/SMSTS.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, CAD, and Office 365.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
