An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire Alarm Designer to join the Asset Intelligence division of a leading UK infrastructure contractor.

The role is based Warrington with hybrid working available, alongside travel to project sites across Lincolnshire.
As a Fire Alarm Designer, you'll play a key role in taking fire and life safety solutions from initial concept through to installation and handover.
You'll work alongside experienced engineers, project teams and clients to develop designs that are safe, compliant, technically robust and commercially viable.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Designing fire alarm and detection systems in line with client requirements and current legislation.
- Producing detailed design documentation including detector layouts, loop drawings, cause & effect, panel layouts and fire strategies.
- Developing PA/VA systems, fire strategies and associated life safety solutions.
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards including BS5839, BS7671 and BS7273.
We're looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Designer, you'll ideally have:
- Proven experience designing fire detection and life safety systems.
- Strong knowledge of relevant fire alarm standards and legislation.
- Experience with PA/VA, suppression and fire stopping systems.
- Experience producing technical documentation including URS and FDS.
- Familiarity with BIM environments and interpreting 3D models.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
- An ONC, HNC, Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
