Freelance Electrical Supervisor – Fire Alarm Installation

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Electrical Supervisor to oversee a fire alarm installation scheme in Newcastle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with experience managing electrical installation works, coordinating site teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical operatives carrying out fire alarm installation works.

• Oversee daily site activities, ensuring work is completed safely and in line with project specifications.

• Monitor progress against programme and coordinate labour, materials and subcontractors.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and site regulations.

• Carry out site inspections and monitor the quality of installation works.

• Liaise with site management and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Maintain accurate site records and report on progress, issues and any delays.

Requirements

• Previous experience supervising electrical installation works.

• Experience working on fire alarm installation schemes is highly desirable.

• SSSTS – essential.

• First Aid – essential.

• Standard DBS check – essential.

• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to coordinate site teams and maintain high standards of health and safety.
