Linear are working alongside a construction company with a great reputation. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Commercial Assistant to be a part of the team. 

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Commercial Manager with day-to-day commercial activities

• Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects

• Assisting with the preparation of tender and contract documents

• Supporting the evaluation of tenders and recommending contractors

• Assisting with the management of the financial aspects of construction projects, including monitoring costs, forecasting, and reporting

• Supporting the identification and mitigation of potential cost and schedule risks

• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions

• Collaborating with the project team to ensure that financial aspects align with project timelines and budget

• Supporting the negotiation of change orders and variations with contractors

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date commercial records

 

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in a commercial or administrative role within the construction industry

• Experience with previous accounting background

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial software
