Assistant Site Manager – Care Home

Duration: Three Weeks Cover
Rate: £26 per hour CIS
We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a busy care home development in Morpeth on a freelance basis.
Working closely with the Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the site.
- Coordinating subcontractors and site operatives across multiple trades.
- Monitoring progress and ensuring works remain on programme.
- Carrying out regular site inspections and ensuring a high standard of workmanship.
- Assisting with health & safety compliance and maintaining site standards.
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.
- Assisting with site documentation, RAMS, permits and quality records.
- Identifying and reporting any issues that could affect programme, quality or safety.
- Maintaining a professional and organised site environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager or similar.
- Experience within care homes, residential, commercial or similar construction projects.
- Strong understanding of health & safety and site procedures.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
- Relevant site qualifications, including SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS.
- A proactive approach and ability to work as part of a wider site team.
