If you are an Assistant Site Manager looking for a step up to Site Manager, or an experienced Site Manager looking for somewhere you could progress your career to become a Project Manager, then I’d like to hear from you.  Ideally, you will have experience working on projects in Education, Leisure, or high rise multiroom projects.

Working for a national main contractor or strong tier 2 is an advantage but not essential. Our client values good, hard working, people who are willing to learn and progress.

Their office is based in Teesside and the successful candidate will be required to travel to sites across the North East.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage and motivate on-site teams, including subcontractors and tradespeople, to deliver high-quality work within strict timeframes.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety practices, adhering to SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) guidelines.
  • Regularly liaise with clients, Project Manager, and suppliers to maintain clear communication throughout the entire project.
  • Monitor construction progress, identify and resolve any potential issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records, including site diaries and health and safety logs.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality projects within deadlines.
  • Possession of SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS card qualifications.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Degree or technical qualification equivalent (Desirable).
  • Valid driving license.
