A Senior Site Agent is required to join a leading main contractor on a major highways project in Suffolk. This role will involve managing a 3.2km new carriageway scheme, including significant earthworks, structures, and highways works.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage a section of works, supervising site teams and subcontractors.

Plan, coordinate, and monitor progress to ensure project milestones are met.

Take full ownership of costs, working closely with the commercial team.

Ensure scope changes (operations, commercial, programme, or design) are properly managed.

Conduct risk assessments, ensure strict quality control, and maintain health & safety compliance.

Work with designers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Attend project meetings and provide progress reports to the Project Manager.

Ensure accurate record-keeping, including site diaries, material orders, and reconciliations.

Lead and mentor site engineers and junior staff to maintain high performance.
About You:

Experienced Senior Site Agent in civil engineering or highways projects.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple work packages.

Proficient in reading technical drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Good knowledge of CDM 2015, NEC contracts, and cost management.

HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and relevant CSCS card.
-
SMSTS certification and experience with Office 365 and CAD.

Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) and First Aid qualifications are desirable.
