We are working with a leading Civil Engineering Main Contractor, who are recruiting for their Severn Trent framework.  They need an Infrastructure Engineer, to provide civil and pipeline engineering technical expertise for both clean water and water recycling infrastructure projects.  In this role, you will provide guidance, technical reviews and design support for numerous infrastructure schemes and ensure all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards.

Please note that, due to our client's policy, the only permitted payment options are Umbrella or PAYE.

The ideal candidate will hold a BEng or MEng/MSc Degree in Civil Engineering.  You’ll have knowledge and experience of undertaking calculations for pipeline designs and the ancillaries to a network (e.g. thrust blocks). You will also be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of enabling activities and construction techniques.

Role overview and what you'll need:

  • Checking of drawings to ensure @one quality, safety, and technical standards. 
  • Sound understanding of pipe materials and applications.
  • Design of sewerage systems, trunk water mains & pressurised and gravity sewerage systems.
  • General civils and hydraulic design experience including pumpstations, slabs, pipe protection, piling, RC design, and open channel/pipe hydraulics.
  • Provide support for engineers to establish ‘Standard Product’ drawings and procedures (for the wider use of the business).

 

Rate is indicative and dependent on pay type and experience.
