The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Estimator looking for your next opportunity within civil engineering and infrastructure?
Our client is looking to strengthen its pre-construction team with an Estimator to support the tendering and delivery of major water and infrastructure projects across the UK.
You'll be involved in high-value tenders, major frameworks and complex civil engineering schemes, working closely with bid, planning, procurement and operational teams.
The Role
You'll be responsible for producing accurate, competitive estimates from initial tender review through to adjudication and project handover.
Key responsibilities include:

Preparing cost estimates, tender build-ups and project pricing.

Reviewing drawings, specifications, BoQs and tender documentation.

Developing construction methodologies, assumptions and cost allowances.

Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering options.

Working with planning, procurement, commercial and operational teams.

Presenting estimates at tender adjudications and supporting negotiations.

Providing detailed commercial handovers to delivery teams following contract award.
About You
We're looking for an Estimator with experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or the water sector.
You'll ideally have:

Strong estimating and tender preparation experience.

A good understanding of construction methods and commercial principles.

The ability to interpret technical drawings and tender documentation.

Experience using Candy or similar estimating software.

Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
Chartered status would be advantageous but is not essential.
