Job description

Our Client based in Sheffield S20 area are looking for an experienced Electrical Assembler

The Role

  • To assemble and test Electrical/Electronic tyre inflation equipment to a world class standard, using standard operating procedures and schematic drawing
  • Using fault finding techniques to diagnose quality issues and communicate with internal quality or suppliers
  • Aiding the introduction of new products and developing standard processes
  • To fully comply with all H&S rules and regulations
  • To carry out any other duties as required by the business and comply with the company's policy

  • Housekeeping to a visit-ready level
  • Efficiency targets
  • Rework Levels

 

Key Objectives

  • Assemble items to specifications utilising current SOP’s with minimum scrap/rework
  • Items are quality checked before signing off
  • Ensure conformance to HR/HS and E policies and procedures
  • Meet customer demands
  • Aid the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and techniques to gain continuous improvements
  • Identify, recommend, and implement improvements and cost reductions, communicating with Team Leader, piers and relevant departments


Skill Requirements:

  • The ability to work as part of a team without the need for close supervision.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The ability to follow instructions with a methodical approach.
  • Organised and have good attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems that demonstrates both logical and creative thinking.
  • Ability to stay calm and think logically in difficult situations.
  • To be flexible and support other team members when required.

 

Experience:

Previous experience of assembling electrical products in a manufacturing environment essential.

A demonstrable self-motivator experienced at successfully delivering against challenging goals and targets.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: £11.44 per hour
