Our client is a leading Housing Contractor with many housing projects lined up for this year, working in the Residential sectors.
Due to the increase of projects, they are now looking to appoint an Architectural Technician to join the team with clear progression routes within the company. The role responsibilities include:
What you will be doing:
- Assist in the management of the company’s Portfolio ( housing types, and construction details.)
- Keep abreast of innovative design solutions and new material.
- Liaise with other disciplines to ensure the best design solution.
- Ensure drawings meet all current Building Control and Planning Regulations.
- Able to identify Health & Safety Risks under the CMD regulations and mitigate them.
- Conduct research and development on new innovations and materials encouraging cost-effective design solutions.
- Develop technical knowledge of new technologies and requirements to ensure that designs meet all current and future legislations.
- Distribute information to Regional Technical Teams via the viewpoint common data environment.
- Ensure technical solutions are incorporated into standard construction details.
- Produce all relevant supporting information i.e BBA certificate, U-value calculations, EPD’s etc.
- Coordinate third party information from consultants and manufacturers and suppliers.
What we need from you:
- Relevant qualifications such as HND or Degree Level.
- Proficient experience using both AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Software’s (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge in construction material and methods, and contract documentation.
- Awareness of environmental legislations and issues.
